Policy and Strategic Objectives of Supply Chain CSR Management

While fulfilling our own social responsibility, Gongjin also attaches great importance to the social responsibility of suppliers and partners. As an important part of our strategies, we will continue to implement ethical sourcing and green sourcing, and strengthen supply chain CSR management to achieve our two strategic objectives.

Enhance the awareness and ability of Gongjin and our supply chain social responsibility, and promote the sustainable development of the industrial chain.

Cooperate closely with suppliers to jointly strengthen the continuous improvement and management of supply chain social responsibility, ensure to manufacture products in a way that conforms to social responsibility, and set up the brand and confidence of Gongjin’s supply chain social responsibility among global customers.

Supply Chain CSR Management System

Gongjin is continuously committed to gradually establishing and improving the supply chain CSR management system, including gradually strengthening the CSR management objectives, and improving the supplier CSR agreement, CSR training and skill upgrading.

Strengthen the CSR management objectives

Since the implementation of CSR management on the supply chain in 2013, CSR has become the threshold standard for the introduction of Gongjin’s strategic cooperative suppliers. It is stipulated that CSR should be reviewed during the certification of strategic cooperative suppliers, and the cooperated suppliers should have CSR system self-inspection. Gongjin has formulated the “Procurement Guidelines for Gongjin’s Social Responsibility” and released it to the suppliers to promote them to meet the requirements of social responsibility system.
Formulate the supplier CSR agreement

Gongjin has formulated the supplier CSR agreement, “Social Responsibility and Occupation Health Safety Commitment Letter”, which covers the child labor, forced labor, occupational health and safety, freedom to organize trade unions, and right to collective bargaining, etc. Our company will sign CSR agreement with all suppliers to strengthen their CSR requirements.
CSR training and skill upgrading

In 2022, Gongjin continued to strengthen the SCR skill upgrading of employees, and invited third-party training institutions to train 87 employees on SA8000, EICC, BSCI standards, among which 14 employees in the supply chain have internal auditor certificates.

The supply chain shall formulated the Annual Supplier CSR&Environmental Training Plan every year, and implement it. Since the implementation of CSR management on the supply chain, a total of more than 500 suppliers and partners have participated in the training of sustainable development management.

At the same time, the supply chain also formulates the “Social Responsibility On-site Review Plan” to conduct on-site review on key material suppliers, promote them to make improvement and upgrading, and continuously improve the suppliers’ social responsibility management mechanism.
